    Hey guys,

I have a scene through which I’ve animated a camera. The scene has been fully rendered but I see some small unwanted spheres accidentally placed above the ground of the scene that show as the camera runs by them. I need to render a pass with only a small perimeter around each sphere after deleting the unwanted spheres and composite that into the scene – so basically I’ll have a render of the scene with the spheres and a separate “clean-up” render of just the areas where the spheres were without the spheres. I need to render little “windows” of the corrected parts of the scene, perhaps surrounded by black or a color of my choice. Any one know a way to do this so I don’t have re-render the scene again?

I’ve done this countless times with a scene that has one unwanted object by using a plane, coloring it like a greenscreen and cutting out some polygons to mask the area to be corrected but these spheres are scattered throughout the z axis so there’s depth to this cleanup job.

    Thanks!
    Brian

Not quite sure what you are after there but have you tried making the spheres (or slightly larger versions of the spheres) matte objects with a compositing tag?
