Re Output problems, is this a better workaround?
I currently work for a company that just got accepted to do a show on a cable station. The company use to do all of their features straight to DVD now since they have just a show we are having to change the way we put together our program. We are currently using FCP 5.0.1 with 10.3.9 (thats a whole another issue due to our Medea Raids which i won’t get into here:) We are also using AJA Io to come in 10bit uncompressed YUV. Anyways so checking levels on waveform seemed fine, used 3 way and/or broadcast safe filter to fix anything and then out put to tape. I always do a test one on minidv before i waste a tape in case of any problems and when I went back to play the tape using capture and log with those waveform monitors open it was showing way about 100. Anywhere from 101-109.
I know there were some problems with FCP 5.0.1 and the waveform monitors not reading all the lines, we do have Synthetic Apertures Color Finesse so should I use that instead of relaying on FCP? I just hate using Color Finesse because it takes up SO much room:)
Maybe there is a step I am missing somewhere? The cable station requirements are fairly basic. All they say is that video levels and white balance must be consistant and correct throughout the show and never peak above 100 IRE….
So anyone HELP please;)
