  To play an flv on your website, you’ll need to make a space on your page for a flash video player, a .swf file from Flash, and somehow tell that player where your video is so that it can load it.

  A couple of places you might start, if (as it seems) you don’t have Flash, are

  https://www.longtailvideo.com/
  https://code.google.com/p/swfobject/

  Or, maybe better for you, you could ask your kind donor to give you a Flash player too …
