    Hello,

I have upgraded my card from a Cinewave to a Kona LH. I reinstalled FCP version 5.0.4 onto my G5, but it no longer saw my plug-ins. I have reinstalled both sets of the above to no avail. On many of my edits I have used the Nattress smart deinterlace, the plug-in is still on the shots but there is no access to it or any other plug-ins in the effect pallet. I tried installing onto another G5with a Kona 2 card and had the same issue?

    Anyone got any ideas?

I’m having the same problem with my Twixtor and Re:Vision filters. I seem to recall a post from the Re:Vision folks somewhere….

Are you guys by any chance running MacOS 10.4.6? If so, you’ll need to download the full update and run it because the version you get from Software Update has problems that the full download does not.

Check file permissions on the plugins. They need to be read and write enabled, and the folder containing them. Failing that, contact me via email and we can run through the possibilities. There’s nothing in the plugins that needs updating for either FCP5, new mac OS X or Intel FCP, so it’s most likely the OS X file permissions got changed in the update.
