hey guys I have a serious problem and I need your help
there is this project that is driving me crazy, a client brought me a project that he worked on on a PC and he said I have to copy the media to my own hard drive coz he has to return the hard drive where the media is
I’ve consolidated everything to my drive, there is a lot of media, and I check the option of relinking the media to the new hard drive, now that i connect the drive to my mac i see that the media still operas offline
and when I select the clip and go to re-link i get the message that “there are no media drives available for this action”

what is happening? please advise me what to do

one more thing, both drives that are connected to my MAC are drives that came from PC and they are USB

    many thanks

Go to your Media Creation settings, check that Filter Based on Resolution is Unchecked. This should let you see your USB drives. You can also go to File–>Mount All. This should mount your USB drives and let Avid recognize them.

Also, go to the drive this media is on and delete the database and index files. When you restart Avid it will notice they’re missing and rescan the drive, rebuilding the databases and relinking your media.

    Good luck.

    Michael.

Yeah Michael, thanks a million. I’ve got the same problem, will attempt the same solution.
    All the best,
    Tony
