hello there,i have a mac os x.3.9 and using FCP 4.5 and just recently upgraded to FCP 5, after editing a couple,i noticed that the video image is not stable, looks like it was kinda slow-mo,kindda breaks or stops every angle.I’m just wondering if there’s any settings or how do i correct this?
I would really appreciate if there’s someone who could help 🙂

What type of footage are you editing? Where is it stored? Are you judging this based on what you see on the computer monitor or an external NTSC/PAL monitor or tv?

Well first of all thank you so much for taking time reading my post 🙂
to answer your question #1…i’m doing a wedding video and i used to save my videos to my capture scratch folder and yes i watch thru my monitor & i make sure i hook it thru a tv if i don’t rather i wasn’t sure how is it gonna look like while playing it and since i can see that there is a problem 🙁

    Thanks again,

Yes, everything goes to the Capture Scratch folder… the real question though is where is your capture scratch folder located? It should NOT be your system hard drive… it should be on a separate drive for media only.

Well i have 3 externals and 1 internal and each drive has a capture scratch folder.I hope this is right. anyways i have another problem 🙁 my A.Pack is not working as well, before it use to be fine. what i did was read a couple forums from here and it says delete a.pack pref. which i did and it did help once but lately it doesn’t seem to work anymore.now i have to burn my compressed aiff file and transfer it to another mac.why is this so?

    Thanks,
    MaConnie
