    licking the bookies pencil:

1/12 magnetic timeline is fully adjustable.

3/1 multiclip is professionally retained. (it has a viewer?)

5/1 tracks can be identified and designated.

1/1 manual bins exist outside metadata (that sounds silly)

9/1 *as a basket bet* – OMF XML and EDL are fully functional as we currently understand them.

100/1 log and capture.. (well no, a bridge too far)

40/1 the – covered in chrome – GUI is utterly and crisply frame accurate to the hint of a mouse movement reactive on three year old hardware. if it isn’t it’s a lazy don’t give a damn about you crime.

9/1 you can carefully, and peacefully, playback, preview, and determine the worth of clips from set in and out points. (the clip viewer lives somehow)

2/1 you can still fix bad VO recordings in soundtrack pro (well sure the old install is going nowhere)

1000/1 apple do some truly crazy stuff where the database means the timeline is truly live in an invigorated audio and visual post suite that is going to blow our minds for the price of a good meal.

10000/1 color has been completely reconfigured as a database native, ground up re-rewrite, app, threatening smokes hegemony.

10000000000000000/1 dvd studio lives and will author blu ray.

yes. i have just agreed to cover a pay out of one quadrillion pounds there. I may need to mine the diamond heart of jupiter to cover the spread.

Still – I am comfortable with the certainty of dvd studio pro’s demise however.
