  re aspect ratio problem

  I am making a film animation. I use photoshop default file when new… DVCPRO HD 1080p this gives me an aspect of (1.5)??

  I make up the layers and send to corel painter X which brings these layers into painter as square. After painting they are to go back to pshop original file and end up square when copied back and inserted into new layers. If this new imported square pixel image is just stretched to the edges of the canvas are they still square or rectanglar? I have zoomed in and they do appear rectanglar . Is this correct?
