[1] Why can’t Secondary Storylines be moved in the Timeline? I find that you have de-storyline the clip in order to move it.

[2] Why can’t Dissolves be copy pasted from one secondary story to another to another? Say for example that I have a bunch of stills as secondary storylines attached to the main storyline in the timeline. Say that I want to add a half second dissolve to all my stills. I’m unable to copy the first dissolve and paste it to all the others (like I could in FCP7).

    Any workarounds for this?

You can drag a secondary storyline to wherever you want it in the primary storyline and it will perform an insert edit. It will of course cease to be a storyline in itds own right at this point but then you wouldn’t expect otherwise. You should use compound clips if you want a grouping to stay together in the primary storyline.
