RD3 ProRes Proxies FCP6
I’ve looked through the forums, and all over the web, but can’t seem to find my answer.
Working with 4k RD3 files. I can’t create ProRes Proxies on my computer (for some reason) only ProRes or ProRes HQ. I’m using REDCINE-X Pro to create these ProRes files. My question is if I cut with ProRes files, and export an EDL, how then do I get the RD3 files connected to that EDL? Is that even the process?
I’ve only ever worked with RED footage when the project only needed to be finished as ProRes files, so I’m not as familiar with the offline workflow for RD3. And given that I can’t seem to create Proxy files on my computer I’m worried I’ll do all the editing only to find I can’t scale up to the original 4K RD3 files.

ProRes Proxy is only available in FCP 7. FCP 6 has ProRes and ProRes HQ, and that’s it.
