  • Raw footage cut short when after uploading. What is going on?

Posted by Will Hayden on April 17, 2010 at 10:51 pm

I uploaded some raw footage to onto my computer from my camera, and I found that in FCP, the footage that I uploaded was trimmed at the beginning and end of each clip. The first half a second or so has been removed from each of the clips. I looked back on the camera to see if the entirety each clip was there, and I could watch the entirety of each clip right there on the camera.

    Can anyone help?

how are you capturing the footage from your camera? Are you doing a straight copy, log and transfer, controllable device via FCP? Also, what format is the footage?

I’m uploading the HD footage from my camera into iMovie, and from there into FCP. The footage is .mov file format.
