rating the hv30 or a1 on an incident meter?
I’ve been on sets when this is done, rating a video camera with a film ISO.
I was wondering what factors in when assigning an appropriate speed to the cam?For ex: HVX with a 35mm adapter.
the adapter cut a certain amount of light coming into the
(camera’s) lens, which was calculated,
then an ISO was decided on for the entire shoot.how would someone go about using an incident on an hv30 or an a1,

to streamline shooting a short film with (with either camera)”Put a chip chart in front of the cameras and using a vectorscope if your camera doesn’t have a spot meter setting you can turn on. Then you adjust your light meter to match the camera. It’s a little too complicated to explain in a short response, so go to this link and watch how it’s done:
