Iam not much of an illustrator, but I am trying to create a professional DVD menu. Someone sent me a .pdf (45MB) and I am trying to cut it up. It is coming out with aliasing and I am trying to surround it with a glow or a line to cover the aliasing. The line I am drawing in CS3 is also aliasing. I tried to blur it, but it is not working.

Is there anything I can do. My text and some geometric shapes are aliasing when I am importing them to after effects.

Maybe I just don’t know the conversion process.

Any quick hints will help. Can I change .psd and .pdf images to vector files?

Are you opening the pdf in Illustrator or Photoshop? Using AI allows you to grab what you need and have more scaling flexibility.
Most DVD cover software likes AI not PS.
