  Random video start frame?

  I have about 100 TV screens in my model. I want to apply the same shader (a long video clip) but I want each TV screen to start playing at a random point in the video.

  If I could just put “rnd(300)” in the “movie start frame” which is on the animation tab of the shader settings, that would be awesome. But if I do that, it just generates a random number and inserts it into the field. Plus, I don’t know how to give each instance a different random value.

  Can the “movie start time” be controlled with Python or COFFEE?

  Any ideas?
