random static sound in wave media files
I am having strange problem with audio in Sony Vegas. I got a project with 24bit files from R44 recorder. These files are OK (I checked them in various audio editors) but Vegas generates random loud static sounds. What’s even more interesting, the waveform on Vegas timeline is also deformed. What’s even more strange the audio artifacts dissapear after rendering!
The audio is 24bit / 48KHz. Project properties are set the same.
Any ideas?

Change the audio project properties to 16bit instead,

Since the sound is correct after rendering, I would render to a wav file, and then import and use the wav file in your Vegas project.

Bob, it’s a clever trick indeed… but I would rather find the real cause of this.

I ve converted 24bit audio to 16bit and… it works! strange
