Ram Previews getting shorter..
Hello all 🙂
Since yesterday ive been having a problem in that my ram previews have been getting shorter and shorter and now im only able to render 2-3 seconds at a time which is infuriating, I have 2 gig of memory so I can usually get about 15 seconds in my ram previews.
The area im previewing isnt particularly intensive, and i cant figure out why this is happening. If anyone can shed some light I will be very gratefull. Lowering the resolution is only adding a second to the preview time

try choosing edit>purge>all… sometimes ae just seems to get bogged down after a while, and manually purging the ram can do the trick.

Open whatever your OS uses to check RAM usage. See if it is growing a lot while AE isn’t open. Maybe something else is stealing RAM.
Don’t forget edit>purge.
