Hello, this is my first time posting here but I do visit this site often when I encounter problems in After Effects.

Everything is just fine when suddenly the ram preview isn’t working as its used to be. When I move the current Time indicator at a specific keyframe, the preview plays at the beginning of the composition (or at the beginning of the work area).

Here is a video of the problem:

EDIT: Turns out I altered some of the RAM preview settings. Can remove this thread? I solve the problem myself 🙂

@Daryl: I’m having this same problem. When I do a RAM preview the current time indicator does not move.

What exactly did you do to fix it?

This problem started happening after I updated to MacOS High Sierra. I’m running After Effects CS6.

    Thanks!

Just change the hotkeys of RAM preview, test it, then revert it back to the default hotkey.

Works like a charm for me 🙂

Unfortunately I had to downgrade back to MacOS Sierra because After Effects CS 6 was literally freezing MacOS High Sierra. Thanks for the reply though!
