Activity Forums Adobe After Effects RAM preview is delayed when I play back “green bar” sections—also skips the 1st second of work area (isn’t from multi-processing)

    The bug occurs because the new version of Mac OS makes a bad assumption. Apple knows about this, and the core bug is theirs to fix. Whether they choose to do so is up to them.

    We are able to work around this problem by making a very major change to After Effects—which has other benefits, too. We intend to release a version of After Effects with this change as soon as possible; the current target is this spring.

    One thing I have noticed while I am waiting for this bug to be fixed is if you enable Mercury Transmit so a second monitor is showing your ram preview then that displays the first second correctly that is missing from the composition preview window.
