Ram or Video Card or both
Hi all
Just upgraded to Studio2 and just as before, my motion is stop and go. I am using a g5 dual 2ghz 3 gb sdram.
aty r350 128mb video card.
Do I need more memory and a new video card to stop this from happening. I cannot run motion and it is annoying.

A video card will help Motion, but RAM is also good for overall performance of the Mac.
get the video card first (get one w/512 MB of VideoRam) and then if that doesn’t work for you, add another Gig of RAM.
Eventually, you will want to get an intel computer to make FCP.ProRes shine.
