RAM not recognized
I am not sure if this is Windows XP issue or AVID but we just added more physical RAM from 2GB to 8GB but the computer only recognize 2GB. In the system menu at control panel, it says 2GB. so, I guess it is Windows issue. but can you think of any solution?

Windows XP 32-bit will only recognize 4GB of RAM (although it says it recognizes only a little over 3GB).
You utilize more RAM you need a 64-bit OS, like Vista Business 64-bit (which is Avid approved).
To get your system to recognize more than 2GB of RAM you have to do use the 3GB/switch which is in your Avid program folder. Check this file path:
C:\Program Files\Avid\Utilities\3GB
