RAM Allotment
I just recently increased my RAM to 2 Gigs. How much should I allot in the Dynamic RAM Preview in preferences? Thanks…

I keep mine at the Vegas default and only increase it if I need to preview a longer section but then I change it back again. There are reports of rendering taking a lot longer if you have too much memory dedicate to RAM preview which makes sense since rendering is RAM intensive and you are stealing that RAM from the render by dedicating it to the preview function.
Dynamic RAM Preview is only used when you press Shift+B to create a RAM preview. Otherwise it’s not used at all so adjust it to give you enough preview to check you work and no more.
