I have a macbook pro (from 2007)- and I do after effects and video editing.

I was thinking it wastime to set up some sort of storage system like RAID.

What do I need to consider before starting RAID?
How do I set up a RAID storage with a macbook pro?

Any product suggestions? I need some major technical advice before I start.
    Thanks for anything !

A Raid requires multiple hard drives being used as one single drive… I don’t think you can get more than one drive into your laptop so you’ll need a separate RAID tower which will need to powered on its own and will be heavy and large. There are expensive RAID portable drives, again they are a separate external drive and require extra USB or AC power to work properly.
