Activity Forums Panasonic Cameras RAID in USB host mode

Anyone have experience hooking up one of the tiny USB powered RAIDS to their Panasonic in USB Host mode for the purpose of off-loading the contents of their cards onto a RAID 1? For example, there is the G-Raid mini2 that supposedly runs of bus power. But what if it’s hooked up to the camera in USB Host mode. Does the camera support that? Or will I need to hook up power to the RAID? I’m thinking I want to travel as light as possible and therefore leaving the MBP at home.

I do understand that by doing this, I have no way to verify that everything copies correctly. Is this an issue? Does it happen often?

I would rather be safe than sorry. I would bring my MBP. Bus Power is supplied by FW port.
