RAID 1 with SSD drives (and USB 3.0)
The problem with Thunderbolt and to some degree USB 3.0 drives is that the drives can’t spin fast enough to utilize the transfer speeds of the I/O interface. Now that SSD drives are coming down in price, this can change.
Has anyone put SSD drives into a USB 3 or Thunderbolt RAID enclosure and set up a RAID 1?

In theory….would one need a SSD RAID?
no moving parts to fail?
and you probably wouldn’t see a speed improvement because SSD’s are already faster than spinning disks…
maybe a mirror for security…. certainly not a stripe set, I’d guess….
