Radially repeating grid effect
Hi All,
I’ve been trying to figure out how to make a radially repeating grid out of some footage. Something similar to the images I’ve attached here. I’ve messed around with various tiles effects, displacement map options, etc. but can’t seem to figure out how to achieve the effect I want. Can anyone think of a way to accomplish this without individually placing little squares of footage in a grid. Feel like there must be something I’m missing here.

I’d personally approach this with RE:Vision Effects’s RE:Map [link]. You could pretty easily build a procedural UV map with a few gradients and Mosaic effects.

Would a regular displacement map not work with gradients/mosaic too? I guess it wouldn’t really have that duplication would it…
