R16 Feature on creating packaging – what’s the best way to prepare the Illustrator file?

This seems to be the only tutorial out there I could find on the subject of the packaging feature, but it goes fast and doesn’t get into how c4d reads the Illustrator file for the setup. I search for a Illustrator packaging template online, then re-made it with square stroked paths. I don’t see how else it will fold certain sections, unless it can read dashes in the stroke as a fold, but I don’t think that’s the case.This is how I set up the Ai file.

Hi, have you found a solution? Having the same issues here and can’t find how to fix that. My .ai files are set up exactly as yours. Sometimes I get 2 bases or the box folds to two parts.

Unfortunately I gave up. They should really give better lessons if they’re trying to add new features. You can’t just expect the users to magically figure out the software with no instruction, or at least a detailed one.
