I am trying to bring in a jpeg with the size of 32000 x 1080 pix. This crashes the project.

So I cut that image in half and brought it in as a PNG 16000 x 1080. This doesn’t crash the project but shows up as black.

Both sizes work without a problem in FCPX. What is the maximum still image size I can bring into R14?

    Thank you!

    What GPU are you using?
    System ram?

    What size is your sequence?

If you are trying to do a pan and scan on the still, maybe look at building it in fusion first and exporting a QT.
If you are just trying to fit to frame, maybe resize it in photoshop or similar first?

It’s a 1080p sequence. Yes, pan and scan is the intention, however going to another app is no option here.

Peter, does this screenshot answer your question?

I just noticed something. Even when I just click on the JPG on the media page, without even importing it, Resolve crashes.

I just noticed that Resolve reads/interprets the width resolution of the image as a negative value. That could certainly be a starting point why the system crashes, no?

    Thank you,
    Tobias
