Apologies if this has been covered before but I did not see anything in a quick search…

I’m bringing in Quicktimes (Black Magic 10bit Uncompressed 422) and Resolve is losing the tail frame. Sort of like out point exclusive. It’s there in QT Viewer but Resolve does not see the frame. I am overcutting and these do not have handles so they are a frame short.

Did a quick test of adding a frame of black to tails and so Resolve now reads all the frames of picture but this is odd.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers, Chris

I have seen this on the smoke before. Its a quicktime thing. The frame is there. I cant remember what it was that caused it. But its just like you said. Its an exclusive out point.

I have not seen it on the resolve before. I do remember that all the quick times that did this came from an avid.

Thanks Nick. I can’t believe how many problems end with the line, “it’s a quicktime thing.”

I hear that. We need to start getting serious about getting rid of this Quicktime format.

I think its an ‘Avid thing’. Avid does funky things with QT exports.
