    Are there any advantages to using “quicktime pro” vs “quicktime basic” when using editing with SVP.

    No lars…. No advantage at all when using Vegas.

    Yea, Sony has it’s own QuickTime support and it won’t see the additional codecs in QuickTime Pro like H.264 so there is no advantage while in Vegas Pro. I have rendered files out of Vegas Pro and then used QuickTime Pro stand alone to create h.264 videos but you can’t do this from within Vegas Pro.

    You are welcome. Quicktime Pro is only beneficial if you are using it
    as a standalone encoding tool (but that’s another story).
