Quicktime or monitor
I have built a motorcycle model using Illustrator and imported it into AE7 using a project that is NTSC DV Widescreen. The motorcycle wheels are elliptical but this is corrected when I activate pixel aspect ratio correction. When I render my footage into Quicktime the wheels are once again ellipses. It is fortunate that the motorcycle is moving so fast, without motion blur, that the change in shape is not noticeable. In future clips the motorcyle will need to slow down, so it will look odd. Is Quicktime doing this and will it transfer to the dvd medium I ultimately want to record on?

Computers only know square pixels and unless the player software has a built-in aspect ratio correction (which Quicktime doesn’t), it will look squeezed. not to worry, it will look right on DVd.

Your movie should look fine once played on a TV or video monitor. Do a search including the archive to get more details on this.
