  quicktime H264.scalar plug in crashing out Quicktime 7. fix?

  Has anyone had this problem / know how to fix?

  Quicktime X plays mp4
  VLC play mp4
  but suddenly Quicktime 7 doesn’t

  it all started when I started having to use a client’s Flip Mino footage
  720p 3ivx I think

  Anyway I am getting multiple Quicktime preference files in my Library.

  Which if I delete can help, but not for long.

  And often Quicktime X (curses you evil quicktime X) won’t play mp4 either

  even new ones I make that have nothing to do with flip
