  Quicktime Extraction problem !!!!!

  Hi Guys,

  I have had the same problem twice this week which has got me totally stumped.
  I have a 12 minute short which i am exporting from FCP using DV – PAL Compression within the QT movie format export.
  I then burn onto a Blank good quality DVD. File is 3.7 GB in size, leaving just enough room on the DVD.
  The file is then taken from us to a audio suite, where they have tried to extract the QT file from the disk to there desk top but it just throws the disk out with I think a -36 or 39 error ( awaiting email to find exact details.

  I am using a imac G5, they are on G4’s as well as PC’s. As anyone seen this before…….it has happened twice now this week to me. Yet I have taken the disc to my PC (not networked) and it extracts and plays back fine.

  I am stumped……

  Could the size of the file and issue !!!!

  If anyone has had a similar thing I would be interested to know.
