quicktime codec error (-8966) Photo jpeg?
Very strange message… I a m a pro with After Effect and I can’t remember having troubles with codecs…
But I am trying to render a comp a 960×540 square pixel 29.97fps with Photo-jpeg 75% and I have error renders half of the time. If I quit After Effects and try again the render then it works.
I have a dual 2.6 ghz Intel, 3GB of RAM, latest Quicktime, latest Mac OS X. The file is for re-editing in Final Cut Pro.Is this a Rosetta/Adobe love story trouble?

Maybe … but I think this issue has been discussed. Did you search the COW?

I searched but I didn’t find anything to that specific case of photo-jpeg compression.
Funy part is that I used that compression on some jobs in the past, and we had no problems. We were using G5s.
