Quicktime 10 problems
Posted by Timothy Reed on May 11, 2010 at 3:03 pmI have tried to export WMV format from quicktime 10 and there is no export function.
Can I retool back to quicktime 7.6 with PRO and get its functionality back without screwing up my FCP 7 Projects?
Many thanks

May 11, 2010 at 4:16 pmQuickTime X is a work in progress. The Quicktime 7 installer is included on the Snow Leopard disc and FCP users are strongly urged to install it. If you have FCS installed, your QT Pro features ate automatically enabled

May 12, 2010 at 2:28 pmQT7 should be in your Applications/Utilities folder. You just have to “pro it” with your license code. And put it in your dock. And trash any shortcut to QuickTime X (which sounds way cooler than “10”).

The retool back to QT7 will NOT affect my present QTX projects in FCP7?
Geez, a lot of anachronisms

May 12, 2010 at 3:10 pmThe version of the QT application you open shouldn’t have any influence on the QT ressources FCP relies on. Do not delete QTX itself, of course, that would create a mayhem. Just open QT7 instead.
