QuickTime X is a work in progress. The Quicktime 7 installer is included on the Snow Leopard disc and FCP users are strongly urged to install it. If you have FCS installed, your QT Pro features ate automatically enabled

QT7 should be in your Applications/Utilities folder. You just have to “pro it” with your license code. And put it in your dock. And trash any shortcut to QuickTime X (which sounds way cooler than “10”).

    To confirm:

The retool back to QT7 will NOT affect my present QTX projects in FCP7?
    Geez, a lot of anachronisms
Many Thanks to all who have helped!

The version of the QT application you open shouldn’t have any influence on the QT ressources FCP relies on. Do not delete QTX itself, of course, that would create a mayhem. Just open QT7 instead.
