    Hi,

I supplied some footage to a client as quick time files, DV-NTSC 720X480. She is using Premiere Pro 1.5 with a Canopus DV Storm 2 card.

When she puts the quick time movie on her time line and renders it, the file plays back with intermitant white flashing, picture-white flash, picture-white flash, and so on.

Any one know why this is?

I have played these quick times on the time line in Premiere Pro before with no problems at all. As a test I had her export the quick time as a .avi and then re-import the .avi, same problem.

    Thanks
    R,

I would highly recommend NOT using Quicktime files. SImply hand the client a DV-AVI file, because Premiere Pro doesn’t like anything other than that.

But I’ve seen the QT .mov files work in Premiere Pro just fine before without any problems. That’s why I’m baffled??????????????

They do work, but not well. How were your MOV files encoded?

I would say they work perfectly, when I tried it on my friends Premiere Pro they looked and worked just like normal video. I didn’t notice an difference.

I exported the file off the FCP time line, DV-NTSC, Best, 720X480.
