  • Quick Question About Transitions

    Hey there,

I have a small question about transitions in FCP. When I preview a transition frame by frame it’s fine, but when I preview it at full speed the edges become jagged.

Why does this happen, and how can I get rid of it?

I tried using 3D Simulation > Cube Spin at first. Even when I previewed it in the Canvas frame by frame, the edges were jagged. Giving up on that, I went for a Wipe > Edge Wipe. If I play that frame by frame, there’s no jagged edge. But, when I preview it in the Canvas in real-time the edges appear jagged again.

I’ve even exported it to see if its just the Canvas, and yea…didn’t work.

What type of video are you working with?
    What are your timeline settings?

I found my problem. In my Timeline Settings, I had Field Dominance selected to Lower (Even). I changed it to None, and it works fine now.

    Thank you very much =]
