Quick question about making a circle in After Effects..

Just use the Text on a Path feature, and type periods. The hard part is to find periods which are round, and not square, although the square period makes for an interesting look.

Here’s another way to accomplish this. You could use a shape layer and turn off the fill. Twirl open the stroke properties and adjust the stroke width to the size you want your circle diameter to be, then change the cap to “Round Cap”. Twirl open Dashes and press “+” a couple times and change the Dash to 1 and mess with the Gap until you get the desired shape.

In AE ” Alt/Optn + 0149(Numpad) = • ”

Follow the steps below:

1. Type period using the key combination written above.

2. Select the Text Layer and Double click on Shape Button to create mask.

3. Now in Time line , Twirl down Text properties, go to Path Options and select Mask1 as Path.

4. Now turn on Force alignment and adjust First Margin
