    Hi Guys,

I have a motion graphics question. I was wondering if anyone could lead me the way of a proper tutorial or throw out leads for me to search under as I’m having trouble finding reference material.

The move I’m looking to accomplish is the one where many many pictures fly in to eventually create one image or form a piece of text.

I remember seeing tutorials like this, but for the life of me, when I actually need them, I can’t seem to find them.

Any leads would be a huge help!

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Yeah, that’s right.

You could try it with the card dance effect, by making the mosaic in a comp first, then dragging that comp into another comp, then applying card dance there. You have to tweak the settings, but that’s about it. But the comp often needs to be huge, depending on how big you want to see some of the photos. You might pick a few photos to be well-seen, then add them outside of the Card Dance layer and manually animate them into position.

… or you could do the search for tutorials by those wiser than I. Am.

    This should get you started:

    https://www.engadget.com/2004/10/19/how-to-make-your-own-photo-mosaics/

There have been several dedicated photomosaic software packages over the years that have come and gone. It appears that there are still some around. If the above link isn’t enough help, do a search on Photomosaic Software and you’ll find loads of links.
