Questions about upconverting to HD
I hope this is an easy question about upconverting to HD from SD.
We are shooting content in DVCPro50 and I realize that I don’t know how the process actually works to upconvert this content to HD. Is this as simple as recapturing the footage through an AJA lh board at the HD capture settings? Can you do it after you’ve already captured?
What about the world of P2 MXF? Lets say you shot at DVCPro50 onto P2 but now you want to upconvert to HD? When you import the files into your NLE and back them up for responsible workflow, then Its not like you are ever actually going through the capture card. Is it possible to upconvert P2 MXF files?

You’d want to use a Kona 2 or 3 or go to a house that has Teranex.
