Questions about exporting from Vegas Pro 9.0 to NTSC Digital Betacam
Hello!
I’ve been a long time follower of these Creative Cow forums for help with other issues I’ve had, but I’ve found one that doesn’t seem to be covered anywhere.
Basically, I’m an indie filmmaker who is in the process of selling her first film (yay!) to of all places, Japan (huh?). They want the film on NTSC Digital Betacam with “composite picture and audio on
tracks 1 & 2 / music & effects synchronized to picture on tracks 3 & 4.”The original footage was shot on miniDV and I’ve been using an uncompressed AVI to make DVDs, all from a vegas project with audio & video files spread over many different tracks.
I believe I could take a miniDV-output to a tape house and get it converted to digital betacam (i think?) but I have no idea how I would get the tracks seperated as they need them!
Does this mean I have to go back into my vegas project and seperate all the clips on the timeline to make sure the project is created as they list above, i.e. all effects on track 4, etc.
Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!
