Question On MC6 AVCHD workflow
I using a Sony AVCHD camcorder and I was wonder what was the best way to import material and work with it? I was thinking you would use AMA to link to the files and then select the files that you know you are going to use and then transcode into another bin and begin to work with the transcoded files. Is this correct?

Yes. That’s the way to go. It’s actually a good workflow for most file based material, not just AVCHD.
It is possible to work with AVCHD natively, but in my experience, even if you have a supercomputer, the performance will be bad.
