  • Question in syncing multicam

We sync our two cameras by focusing on a camera flash. In PPR, the flash shows on one frame as a big white-out and I use this frame to sync the two cameras when editing.

I am looking now at footage at something happened that I can’t figure out how to sync it. Yes, I could play it by ear but I’m sure you guys would know the answer…

On camera ONE footage, frame 14 is a big white-out but frame 15 still shows a bit of blue light on the flash bulb. On camera TWO, I don’t see any white-out! But I DO see a frame that has a bit of blue light on the camera bulb….

On which frames should I sync the cameras? Camera ONE on the white-out or the blue light? Camera TWO on the blue light or one frame before that, assuming that that’s where the white-out should of been?

    Thanks

I would use the blue frames on all camera views.
