  • QUESTION: How to do a movie trailer video effect?

Hi everyone, I’m pretty sure there’s a name for this certain effect, but what I’m trying to do is something you’d see in a movie trailer where the colors of the video go rainbow-ish and the screen shakes up and down all in a split second. Here’s a YouTube video I came across that had it.

    It’s at 0:06.

Thanks if anyone can help me! Greatly appreciate it.

You would use the TV Simulator for that. Just adjust the aperture grill, verticle synch, and maybe there’s some color adjustment I can’t remember.

That is called an RGB shift. And its used here as a
transition. Newbluefx Light Blends has exactly what you are
    looking for.
