Question: Exporting .aaf from Premiere Pro CC v8
I am trying to export an AAF from Premiere to be color corrected in Davinci Resolve. My export stops almost immediately with a pop-up stating that some of the clips in my timeline have effects (horizontal flip, gaussian blur, volume), and they can’t translate those effects:
Translation issue:
Sequence at 00:02:38:07, video track 7: Effect on Clip not translated.
Translation issue:
Sequence at 00:08:57:04, video track 6: Effect on Clip not translated.
Translation issue:
Sequence at 00:00:00:00, audio track 8: Effect on Clip not translated.I’ve removed all of the effects, but still the export is not working. This is my first time trying to export from Premiere to edit in Resolve. I’ve tried exporting Final Cut Pro XML but the same issue takes place. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This may seem like a pain in the butt, but when I have encountered AAF issues, I have duplicated my project, and deleted every sequence EXCEPT the one I am exporting, just to be sure that premiere has no other potential reason to act wonky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I rarely am successful dealing with AAFs and premiere.

“Does this error window pop up in Premiere or Resolve? Because I haven’t had any problems exporting XML’s and reconforming them. You can flip and blur when you conform the project in Resolve.

Thank Jason. I tried exporting it again deleting any effects I used and it worked.
