Question About Ultrastudio SDI—Again
Hello,
I’m using Ultrastudio SDI (USB3 on Mac v10.9.3). Using driver v9.7.9(Beta)which is over 1 year old. I have, previously, downloaded driver version 10.1.1, which does not work on the Mac(hardware not recognized), so I rolled back to v 9.7.9.Now, I see that BMD has revised their driver page and does not show a different “Desktop Video” application for Ultrastudio SDI than for the Decklink cards, however, the driver version is still 10.1.1.
Has something changed that will make v10.1.1. now work with Ultrasudio SDI? Where is the “Desktop Video” for Ultrastudio SDI on the MAC?

Hi Bill,
I think that, now, Blackmagic doesn’t support the Ultrastudio SDI on MAC. If you take a look at this page https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/ultrastudiousb3/techspecs/ you will see that the only supported OS are Windows 7 64-bit or better ( and many people think that there is no better Windows than 7 🙂

Yes. BMD Customer Support replied and confirmed this. Thanx, Paolo. I swapped out the BMD mini-monitor on my PC and all is well. I used to be a pretty big believer in Win7….but, I must say, I’m loving this MacBook Pro.
