Question about thunderbolt and performance
Hi there,
I’m about to invest in a few new hard drives for editing in Final Cut Pro 7. I mostly edit music videos and smaller video projects for all sorts of companies. I am considering buying thunderbolt hard drives, but I’m a little unsure of what exactly the benefits of thunderbolt will be compared to for example FW800. I realize that you can copy and move files faster, but what does it mean for the speed of Final Cut and editing work in general? It wont influence the render times etc. right?
Also would you setup and use the external hard drive in the Final Cut settings for the best performance?
