  • Question about selling stock footage from an HVX200a

Posted by Zack Hill on November 24, 2010 at 10:01 pm

Sorry to post here, unrelated except that the footage I am talking about is from an HVX200a, but I am looking for a quick answer on how to price non-exclusive footage for NBC. I got an email about some natural disaster footage I had shot last year, and they wanted a general price.
I haven’t a clue, and google is not being helpful…
Anybody have a fair price range that I could use?
    Thanks!
    Zack

    Hi Zac,

if your the only one with vision, think of a ridiculous figure , then double it, put it to them, they will offer much less if their interested and meet half way.
In my experience, it has to be world shattering to achieve a premium figure, if it just a flood, wind, storm etc, it,s just another yarn.
get what you can and spend the proceeds wisely,
    and demand a “credit”.

    goodluck.

    Cheers
