Question about BlackMagic and FCP5 and QT7
I have just upgraded from FCP4 and QT6 to FCP5 and QT7. I am using a Black Magic decklink card and in FCP the timeline and the capture is set for uncompressed 10bit. When I capture footage, and open up the material in QT7, Quicktime is not telling me what codec it is. Also, I am getting the clip size as 720×486 (704×486). What does this this 704×486 mean? And has anyone else encountered the problem with it not stating the codec? Thanks!

This is some stupid QT 7 thing you’re seeing. I see it too, you have to simply disregard the numbers in parenthesis. It *IS* 720×486 media.

Have you tried re-installing or updating your Blackmagic driver?

Yeah, i just recently reinstalled the driver, but I will give it another shot.
