  • Question about auto-compressing with codec, not rendering on timeline….

Posted by Jeff Dobrow on February 15, 2006 at 12:37 pm

    Basics as follows:
I have PPRO 1.5 and am using a Blackmagic SDI I/O solution.
I have many clips (animations) that are NOT compressed with the BM codec, tga sequences, UC Qtimes..etc…all UC D1 NTSC.

Obviously, when I import them into the bin in PPRO they will not play realtime until I ‘render’ the workspace…..
IS there an easier way to convert them all at once to BM codec from the Bin or such, so that I do not have to place them all out on the timeline in an endless sequence and then render them all from there?

    thanks for any advice!

ack….nevermind! All I needed to do was copy the files to my array, and I can simply edit in uncompressed SD anyway, without the need for the codec…..
