  • Question about 24p>25p conversion.

Posted by Dario Cavallo on February 15, 2010 at 6:56 pm

    1) I want to know what is the best way to convert a FullHD 1920×1080 raw AVCHD .MTS footage or a raw XDCAM EX .MP4 in 24p progressive mode to 25p (PAL) progressive mode MPEG2-DVD.

    2) The Adobe Media Encoder works correctly and automatically to make the conversion?

    3) Or I should make some adjustments, such the expansion of the video in timeline in PremiereProCS4 to compensate the absence of 1 frame from 24 to 25 fps?

    Thanks!

    Dario Cavallo.

Why not directly convert it into a 24p MPEG2-DVD? Don’t commercial movies use 24p in their commercialy released DVDs?

Sorry if I’m asking instead of giving a good answer. But I’m really curious about your choice here.
